YouTube TV has just updated the feature of watching 4 live channels simultaneously to the application for Android phones and tablets. This feature has been available on iPhone and iPad since two months ago.
First launched in March 2023, the multiview feature is aimed at sports lovers, helping them watch multiple live matches at the same time without having to constantly change channels.
To use this feature, you need to update the YouTube TV app to the latest version. Multi-window options will appear under “Recommended for you” or “Multi-window viewing”.
Currently, YouTube TV does not allow users to choose any 4 channels to watch at the same time. Google says it is working on more customization features and will offer more options in the future.
YouTube TV isn’t the only service that offers multi-window functionality. Apple TV also introduced a similar feature for sports fans in May 2023. The Peacock service also recently announced it would allow viewers to watch four live content at the same time during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
