Motorola’s foldable Razr phone line is about to get an upgrade with a significantly larger external screen. According to rumors, both the regular and Ultra versions will have larger external screens than the previous generation.
Razr 50 Ultra 5G, the more advanced version, will have a 4.0-inch external screen, nearly double that of the Razr 40 Ultra (called Razr Plus in the US) with a 3.6-inch external screen. The Razr 50 Ultra 5G’s external screen almost occupies the entire front, except for a thin border at the edge. This allows users to use more features without opening the phone.
Meanwhile, the standard Razr 50 version will remove the tiny 1.5-inch external screen of the previous generation and replace it with a 3.63-inch screen. This screen is similar to the screen of the Plus/Ultra version launched in 2023.
In terms of configuration, the Razr 50 Ultra 5G is expected to have a slightly better camera, more RAM and support 45W fast charging. However, the standard version seems to have the advantage of a larger capacity battery (4200mAh compared to 4000mAh) and a thinner inner screen border.
If Motorola continues with last year’s product launch schedule (on June 1), then it’s likely we’ll hear more official details about this new Razr line soon.
