You can watch Sunday’s Major League Baseball (MLB) games on Roku for free, starting with St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox on May 19. Matches will be streamed live on The Roku Channel – no registration or account required.
To watch, you need to download The Roku Channel to your Roku device or TV. This app is also available on Amazon Fire devices, Samsung TV, Google TV and also on The Roku Channel website. You can watch matches again up to 6 hours after broadcast.
According to Noah Garden, MLB’s Deputy Commissioner of Business and Communications, “With free games for everyone, MLB baseball on Roku will be easily accessible to fans.” Roku will air the games every Sunday until September 15. You can find the full list of games airing on Roku here .
Apple TV Plus is currently broadcasting Friday Night Baseball games, but you’ll need to pay a $9.99 monthly subscription to watch. Other streaming services are also getting into the sports space, with Netflix signing a deal with WWE, HBO Max introducing a live sports add-on package and Amazon, Peacock, Paramount Plus broadcasting live NFL games next. There’s also a new sports-only streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery, Fox and ESPN will launch this fall, with ESPN’s standalone streaming service launching next year.
