Adobe Lightroom is about to get more intelligent AI tools that make photo editing easier for both professional users and beginners, even on phones.
One standout feature is “Remove Objects,” which is in beta, allowing users to “scan” over unwanted objects in photos and remove them with just one click. It’s like Canva and Google Pixel’s “Magic Eraser” tool, but instead of filling in the space with surrounding pixels like Lightroom used to, this tool creates three different alternatives for the erased object. delete, helping users choose the most natural-looking version.
In the demo, the tool completely erased the sample objects without leaving any strange marks, and the backgrounds created to replace them looked natural enough. Removing objects in photos used to require complicated operations, but this new tool makes the job easier and less complicated for beginners.
The “Remove Objects” feature is free during the testing period, after which a “Generative Credits” system may be available (fees are expected). In addition, Lightroom also updated the AI ”Lens Blur” tool, which automatically estimates the depth of field to blur the background to look more natural.
These smart tools make Adobe Lightroom easier to use, attracting new users who don’t feel intimidated by the complex interface designed for professionals.
