Recently, detailed information about the Asus ROG Ally X handheld gaming PC was revealed. Previously, this device attracted attention with its battery life that was said to be doubled compared to the original version. Now, thanks to leaked marketing documents , Ally X’s battery capacity is confirmed to be 80Wh, significantly higher than the 40Wh of the old version. If this is correct, Ally X will become the handheld gaming device with the largest battery, surpassing even Ayaneo Kun (75Wh).

Although the battery is “bigger”, Ally X only weighs 70g more and is 5mm thicker than the original. The total thickness of the device is 36.9mm, while the old version is 32mm. This slight increase in size can be explained by the fan design being 23% thinner, the fan blades being 50% thinner but the air flow increasing by 10% according to leaked information.

Besides the battery, another notable point is the appearance of a second USB-C port with USB4 speeds. According to VideoCardz, this port will replace Asus’s proprietary eGPU port on the old version. It is unclear whether users will be able to charge the device from both the top and bottom ports at the same time.

In terms of performance, Ally X is not expected to have much improvement compared to the original because it still uses the Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip and 7-inch 120Hz VRR screen. However, the device will be equipped with faster 24GB LPDDR5 RAM, providing an additional 8GB of capacity to share with the GPU, potentially bringing slight improvements in gaming performance.

Finally, the leaked information also confirms the appearance of a new navigation key (D-pad). The price of Ally X has not yet been disclosed, but according to a previous source, the device will cost 799 USD. Asus has not yet confirmed these specifications.
