Philips Hue smart light simulates a radiant sunrise called “Twilight”
According to leaked information, Philips Hue’s next smart night light will be called “Twilight”. This lamp has two control buttons on the top to turn the light on/off, select lighting mode, and set an automatic sleep timer. In addition, the lamp also has LED bulbs on the back to create a sunrise or sunset effect, according to HueBlog.com.
Like Hue Dymera lights, Twilight lights can also be controlled separately between the rear LED light and the main front light. Besides, the sleep timer mode will automatically simulate the sunset effect before turning off the lights completely. Currently, the release date and official price of Twilight are still unknown.
Earlier this week, HueBlog posted a leaked image showing Twilight’s strangely designed, non-rotating lampshade. The lamp comes in two colors, black and white, with a height of about 33 cm. The article includes images posted by German smart home website Smartlights.de.
In addition, Philips may also be launching a 5-meter (about 16 feet) long LED strip light called Hue Solo. According to HueBlog, this product was once listed by a major US retailer for $89.99 before being taken down. There’s still a Hue Solo product page on Best Buy, which describes the product as a “seamless blend of multicolored light in a single LED strip” and can be controlled via Bluetooth.
