Microsoft has just launched the 2024 updated version of Surface Laptop and Surface Pro. Both have prices starting at $999.99 (about 23 million VND) and will be available from June 18. Microsoft calls these “the most powerful Windows PCs ever made”. They will be the first devices to take advantage of Windows 11’s next-generation AI features, expected to be announced at Microsoft’s Build event this week.
The main difference between the new and old versions is the processor chip. Microsoft is equipped with a Snapdragon The keyboard is also upgraded with a dedicated Copilot key.
Surface Laptop comes in 13.8 inch and 15 inch sizes, targeting the personal user segment, competing with Apple’s MacBook. Surface Pro still only has a 13-inch version, a hybrid design between a tablet and a laptop, but comes with an improved Surface Pro Flex Keyboard.
The 13.8-inch Surface Laptop starts at $999.99 with Snapdragon X Plus chip, 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD. You can upgrade to 512GB or 1TB of storage for a higher price. The 15 inch version only has the Snapdragon X Elite chip, starting at $1299.99.

Surface Pro 2024 looks quite similar to the previous version, but the new Snapdragon X Elite chip will deliver better performance. The 13-inch screen has an OLED option, and a 5G version will launch later in the summer. The Surface Pro Flex Keyboard is sold separately for $349.99, with integrated Copilot keys, stronger carbon fiber material, larger touchpad and bold text option on the keyboard. The keyboard also has storage and charging space for the Slim Pen (purchase separately for $129.99 or purchase with the keyboard for $449.98).
Surface Pro also starts at $999.99 with Snapdragon X Plus chip, LCD screen, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You can upgrade to the Snapdragon X Elite chip version, OLED screen, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for $1499.99.
