Microsoft just introduced multiple computers that support Copilot Plus at Monday’s Surface event. Samsung is also present with three products in the Galaxy Book4 Edge line, including one 14-inch version and two 16-inch versions. To stimulate pre-orders, Samsung is giving away a free 50-inch TV!
The 14-inch Galaxy Book4 Edge starts at $1,349.99. The device is equipped with a 12-core Snapdragon 14-inch AMOLED touch screen, 120Hz refresh rate, 2880 x 1800 resolution, 500 nits maximum brightness, supports HDR, VRR and 120% P3 color range. The device has two USB 4 Type-C ports, one HDMI 2.1 port and a headphone jack. Machine weight is 2.6 pounds (about 1.2kg).
The 16-inch version has two options: the highest-end version uses Snapdragon X Elite chip that can accelerate to 4.2GHz, 1TB storage capacity for $1,749.99; The version using the same chip as the 14-inch version but with 512GB storage capacity costs 1,449.99 USD. Both have screens with similar specifications to the 14-inch version but larger in size. Besides two USB 4 Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1 and a headphone jack, the 16-inch version also has an additional USB 3.2 Type-A port and microSD card slot. The weight of both 16-inch versions is 3.4 pounds (about 1.5kg).
According to specifications from Samsung, all three versions only have a maximum of 16GB of RAM, which is the minimum RAM capacity for computers that support Copilot Plus and seems a bit limited. The strength of the device is the integration of Samsung’s Knox security platform and features that allow data sharing with Galaxy phones.
You can pre-order all three versions starting May 20. As mentioned, Samsung is giving away a free 50-inch TV (usually priced at $379) to those who pre-order, while supplies last.
