Apple has just announced an increase in the price of battery replacement services for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. From now on, to replace the battery of these two high-end phones, users will have to pay $ 119, an increase of $ 20 compared to before. The good news is that the price of battery replacement for the standard and Plus versions of the iPhone 16 remains the same.
This isn’t the first time Apple has raised the price of battery replacements. The company also raised the price of battery replacements for the iPhone 14 in 2022. iPads, MacBooks, and many older iPhone models have also gone through the same thing. It’s safe to say that the days of replacing an iPhone battery for just $29 are long gone.
However, users can still rest assured if the iPhone battery fails within a year of purchasing the device. In addition, if you have purchased the AppleCare+ warranty package and the battery capacity drops below 80%, you will also get a free battery replacement.
If your iPhone battery is still above 80% capacity but not working properly, you may consider taking it to a third-party repair center or replacing the battery yourself with an Apple genuine part. This may be a more cost-effective option than using Apple’s genuine service.
